How to Apply for Kerala University Degree/Diploma/PG Certificate in 2025 [step-by-step]

 In this article, I will guide you on how to apply for a Degree/Diploma/PG certificate under Kerala University. Just follow the instructions that I am showing, and I hope you’ll be able to easily apply for your certificate. You can apply through either online and offline manner. I will cover both these method step-by-step. Before we begin, let’s see what documents are needed in order to apply for your certificate.

Documents need for applying Kerala University Certificate

These are the important documents you need to have to apply for your degree, diploma, or PG certificate.

1. Degree Certificate copy (For PG students only)
2. Consolidated Mark List copy (Semester scheme) / Copy of All Marklist (Annual Scheme)
3. Provisional Mark List copy
4. +2 certificate  copy
5. 10th certificate copy
6. Declaration Form 
7. Application Form (25 Rs)
8. Receipt/Chellan 

Degree Certificate copy (For PG students only)

If you are a PG passed student applying for your PG certificate, then you must have your degree certificate copy along with the additional documents mentioned above. 

Consolidated Mark List copy, Provisional Marklist copy

Students who passed in the year 2020 and above can able to download their consolidated marklist and provisional marklist copy from slcm.keralauniversity.gov.in portal. 

Plus Two and 10th certificates copy

Should have one copy of both these certificates. 

How to download the Application Form (For UG/PG) certificate?

Online Method

If you are planning to apply through online, you can directly download the application form below for free. https://www.keralauniversity.ac.in/pdfs/application_forms/Applicationform1736227672.pdf

Note: You must fill out the form with your course details. If you have any doubts about filling out the form, there are a bunch of YouTube videos out there for you to take reference, or you can ask your teacher if you need help. 

Offline Method

For those who are going to kerala university to apply, you can go to the cash counter department and ask for the application form. 

Note: An additional amount of Rs 25 will be charged for the application form

Payment Receipt / Chellan (For UG/PG)

Online Method

For students applying online, you can use the Kerala University payment portal to make the payment and download the payment receipt. The link for the official website is provided below. https://pay.keralauniversity.ac.in/kupay/home

Important Note:

If applying online, make sure the 25 Rs are added to your receipt amount. 

eg: Certificate applying amount = 350 Rs

Then the Total receipt amount to pay online = 350+25

Total = 375

Offline Method

You can directly go to the cash counter section to pay and collect the receipt/chellan.

How much should I need to pay?

Online Applicants

The amount is subjected to the actual course you have completed and no of year you have taken to complete. I have included an image from kerala university which shows the amount for different courses.

Offline Applicants

Just visit the cash counter department to clear your payment query.

 Declaration Format (Write in a white paper)

Applicable to both online and offline students

You should write a declaration form on a white paper. If you don’t know how to write a declaration, you can use the template mentioned below. Make sure to replace everything mentioned in [ ] with actual information.

Online method

Online applicants can apply through the post office. Students should collect all these documents, staple them, and put them in an envelope. You can purchase the envelope cover from your local store for a few pennies. On the envelope cover, you should mention the address of kerala university and also put a stamp on the envelope cover. Stamp will be given from the post office, and the address of kerala university to be written is given below.

Offline Applying

You can staple all these documents and place them in the box at the Tapal Department in Kerala University.
